Football club Vojvodina informs the sports public that a long-time employee in our club Aleksandar Ćosić died today at age 75, after a short and severe illness.

Aleksandar Ćosić was born on December 11, 1944 in Novi Sad, and before joining FK Vojvodina, he worked in Naftagas promet. Also, he was a federal football referee in the First League of the former SFRY, but also a great fan of our Old Lady, and the witness of those biggest games in its history, such as the matches against Roma in 1955, Atletico Madrid in 1966, Celtic in 1967… In the last decade, as a representative of FK Vojvodina, he hosted international referees and delegates during the games our club played in UEFA competitions.

For all employees in FK Vojvodina, Aleksandar Ćosić will remain remembered as a wonderful and cordial man and colleague.

The commemoration regarding his death will take place on Saturday, June 1st, at FC Vujadin Boškov in Veternik, starting at 12 pm, and the funeral will be held on the same day at Novo groblje in Novi Sad, starting at 3 pm.
