After a break of almost two and a half months, the football season in Serbia will continue on Friday with the matches of the 27th round of the Super League. One of the most interesting matches of this round will be played at Karađorđe, where Vojvodina will meet Čukarički.

It will be a duel between two teams that have the ambition to secure a place on the European scene next season. At the moment, Vojvodina is much closer to that, since a victory over Čukarički would practically secure its place in Europe, while to Belgradians, who are currently in the fifth position, a triumph would help to climb at least one more spot on the table.

According to the words of the midfielder of the red and whites, 27-year-old Petar Bojić, Voša’s players hardly waited for competitive matches to start.

– We did a good job during the state of emergency, during which we worked a lot with our fitness coach Saša Semeredi. We had online trainings almost every day, and later we started riding indoor bikes, so we were in a relatively good condition when we returned to FC Vujadin Boškov and started working with the ball again. Of course, the boss then raised the intensity of work even more, but despite all that, I don’t think it’s realistic for any team in the league to be 100 percent ready for the rest of the season. For that reason, uncertain matches await us, in which the team that handles better on the pitch will most probably win – says Bojić.

He knows Čukarički’s team extremely well, since he left that team in January last year.

– I spent five years in Čukarički and I know that team very well, as well as the club as a whole. In my opinion, it is certainly the most organized club in the country. They always have a good team, and in the last five or six years, they has participated in Europe four times. They have a lot of fast and talented players, so it will certainly be very difficult for us to win. However, it is up to us to give our best and do everything we can to achieve the desired result – Bojić notes.

Already on Wednesday, Voša is expecting the quarterfinals of the Serbian Cup against another of his former clubs – Mladost.

– It is also a good and organized club, which always has a very tough and unpleasent team. They know to play for the result and that is why it will certainly not be easy for us against them. I don’t think that we are the favorites in that match, but I would rather say that the chances are 50:50, and the team that wants to win more and puts more effort into it will win – said Bojić.

The match between Vojvodina and Čukarički will be played tomorrow at 5 pm at Karađorđe, without the presence of spectators. The live broadcast of the match was made possible on the first channel of Arena Sport television.
