For a long time, Vojvodina’s players struggled to overcome the hard and fighting team of Napredak from Kruševac. Although they took the lead in the 10th minute, due to the goal conceded only 18 minutes later, the red and whites entered the second half with a draw, which in no way met their ambitions and expectations from this game.

However, good play and persistence in the second part of the match gave result in the 86th minute, when the inspired, 24-year-old Miodrag Gemović, scored the winning goal and thus brought great joy to his teammates and fans at the stadium.

– It was a hard and difficult game, in which Napredak played very well. The game was played openly on both sides, and I think that ultimately decided the substitutions made by coach Lalatović. First, Eze had a good chance when he hit the post and I think that after that it was only a matter of time when we’ll score. Finally, in that 86th minute, God looked at us, and I am very happy that we managed to win. We kept the second place in the table and now we have already turned to the next match against Rad – Gemović points out.

After he scored a goal, he ran through almost the entire pitch, until he hugged the goalkeeper Emil Rockov and then saluted to the fans.

– A strong emotion caught me at that moment and I literally didn’t even know where to run. Amazing feeling, really, because there is no better thing for a player than to score a winning goal for his team. That goal was awaited for a long time, but I’m glad we managed to score it – Gemović points out.

Already on Saturday, Voša expects a traditionally tough match against Rad in Belgrade, against which it has won only four times in history.

– I do not know enough about Rad’s team, but I do not doubt that it will be one tough and very difficult game, with many tackling. Of course, it wouldn’t be okay for me to promise anything, but we will definitely fight and go for the win. After all, this is something that we have imposed on ourselves by our results and games so far – said Gemović.

The match between Rad and Vojvodina is scheduled for Saturday at the stadium Kralj Petar I in Belgrade, starting at 4pm.
