After the defeat of his team against Red Star, Vojvodina’s Manager, Radovan Krivokapić, said that red and whites did their best, but that at this moment they could not do more than a convincing defeat.
Vojvodina was defeated today against Red Star by 0-5 (0-2), in the derby of the fourth round of the play-off of Super League of Serbia.
– I would like to congratulate Red Star on everything that it has achieved so far, but I don’t want to exaggerate, because before the match somebody turned my words around, which was not very pleasant. People, deal with yourself and listen well to what is said, and don’t turn the words around. During the past two or three days, I received various messages, including the question whether I am a fan of Vojvodina or not. I don’t want to talk about it too much, so I’ll just shortly say congratulations to Red Star. Today you have seen a young team, that has once again gave its best at this moment, which we have announced after achieving our primary goal and reaching the play-of, which is currently for Vojvodina like a struggle for the Champions League. Red Star showed the quality we could not match, although there were moments in which we could punish the relaxation in their performance. However, the characteristic of the big teams is to take advantage of their first chance, as they did today, and unfortunately we did not. This is another match in the series from which we need to learn lessons, get stronger from everything and, of course, prepare for the next season – Krivokapić said.
In the next round, Vojvodina will play against Radnički in Niš, and that match is scheduled for Sunday, starting at 6 PM.
