After the defeat of his tim against Borac, Vojvodina’s Manager Nenad Lalatović stated that the hosts organized a beautiful welcome for his team, who thus wasn’t allowed to lose in this game.
Vojvodina suffered a defeat yesterday against Borac, in a friendly match played in Bobota.
– I am not happy to lose even in the training, and especially not at the match. However, I must say that today several U-18 players performed for our team and we conceded the goals exactly when on the pitch we had several players of 18 or 17 years of age. Still, some of them play for the national team and that’s why I still think that we were not allowed to lose. We came here on the wish of our president and to see these lovely people, who organized a beautiful welcome for us. Borac showed that it has quality for much higher division than the one in which it competes and I congratulate its players on a victory – said Lalatović.
Yesterday, a draw for the round of 32 of Cup of Serbia was made, and Vojvodina will play against Zlatibor from Čajetina away.
– The Cup is a very difficult competition. When I was the Manager of Čukarički, Zlatibor managed to defeat Radnički by 1-0, and after that, they lost against Čukarički with the same result. This season, Zlatibor has a very good team and they are especially good at home, so there is a tough game ahead of us – says Lalatović.
This Saturday, in the 9th round of Super League of Serbia, Vojvodina will play against Voždovac at Karađorđe.
– Every match in our league is difficult for us, because the quality of teams in Serbian football is basically equal. However, it is still early to talk about that game. So far we have prepared for what awaited us in Bobota, and about Voždovac I’ll talk more in a few days – says Lalatović.
The match between Vojvodina and Voždovac is set for Saturday at 8 pm at Karađorđe, and the tickets for this match will be available for free at the box offices at Karađorđe on match day. Season tickets from last season will also be valid for this match.
