In the quarterfinals of the Serbian Cup, Vojvodina will meet Mladost in Novi Sad. That was decided at today’s draw in the premises of the Football Association of Serbia in Belgrade, and the match will be played on June 3.

The Manager of Vojvodina, Nenad Lalatović, points out that his team has winning ambitions in this competition, but also warns that the match against Mladost will not be easy for the red and whites.

– What is certain is that my players must not have any relaxation before this match, for the simple reason that neither we, nor Mladost, will enter that match in top form. The break due to the corona virus has left its mark on all teams, and upon returning to the pitch, no one will be at the same level as when the season was interrupted. For that reason, I think that the chances are 50:50, and that the team that has more luck and shows a greater desire to win and love for its club and fans will make it to the semifinals – says Lalatović.

This season, Vojvodina has already met with Mladost twice.

– We won 2-1 in Lučani and in Novi Sad, but both games were very difficult and tough. Mladost is a good team, organized and well led, and it has been known for a long time that the Cup is a very unpredictable competition, in which sometimes teams from which it was not expected come to the very end. However, our goal is known, and that is to win the trophy, and for that reason it is not so important to us whether we will play against Mladost, Red Star, Partizan or someone else in the quarterfinals – said Lalatović.
