Works related to the new grass at the stadium Karađorđe, which were announced in the previous period, have officially started today. The reconstruction of the pitch at Karađorđe represents only a part of the action supported by the Football Association of Serbia and UEFA, which foresees that the new grass will be placed on most of the super-league stadiums in Serbia, and the Vojvodina football club is one of the last clubs in our country that will enter the season with a better terrain than before. However, the deadline for finishing the work is precisely determined, and it is completely certain that the Old Lady will perform on the excellent prepared pitch of the stadium Karađorđe already in the first match of the season against Mačva.
At the beginning of the works today, the General Director of the FK Vojvodina Dušan Bajatović has visited the pitch and personally got convinced in what will be done in the upcoming days at Karađorđe. Also, he took the opportunity to wish the workers a happy and successful work and he expressed the hope and expectation that, just like the pitch, Vojvodina as a club in the coming season will be incomparably better than it was and will achieve results for the pride and joy of its fans.
The replacement of the grass and the practical setting of the new terrain at Karađorđe is just the beginning of the large infrastructure investments of FK Vojvodina, considering that the Vujadin Boškov FC is getting seriously renovated, and also, at the end of this year, the beginning of works is expected regarding the construction of the new stadium Karađorđe, which will fulfill all the highest standards and will be located at the same place where the Old Lady’s supporters watch and support their team since the distant 1924.
