In the clash of the 15th round of the Super League of Serbia, tomorrow Vojvodina will play against Partizan in Belgrade. In the not-quite-usual period at 2 pm, the red and whites will face one of their biggest rivals, currently behind them in the standings, since after 14 rounds in the league Voša is in the third, and Partizan in the fourth place.

However, for Vojvodina’s players, this does not change the picture of the values of their next opponent, which still has the role of a slight favorite in the upcoming clash, and that is also confirmed by the words of Vojvodina’s striker, 27-year-old Nemanja Nikolić, who came to the Old Lady for a loan exactly from Partizan.

He has the right to play in tomorrow’s game and, along with other teammates, is at the disposal to the Manager Nenad Lalatović.

– I think one good match will be seen by the spectators, but it will also be very difficult for us players. Partizan is in crisis in our league, but in Europe it plays at an enviable level. Whether it’s about players motive or something else, I don’t know, but I do know that Partizan has a set of great individuals and that it’s a very quality team. On the other hand, we are ahead of them in the standings, which I think we deserved based on our performances and results so far. Of course, we have something to hope for on Saturday too, and I see no single reason why we should enter that match with some fear or too much respect. We respect Partizan as a club, but also, Vojvodina has its tradition and is a great club in Serbian football – says Nikolić.

Although well acquainted with the qualities of Partizan, Voša’s striker believes that his team can achieve a good result in Belgrade.

– Unlike Partizan, I think our advantage is that since the beginning of the season we have been playing constantly well and practically keeping the same level of results. To be honest, we also had some downsides, which I think occurred primarily because of players’ fatigue. After all, the coach is also aware that the team did not go through the preparations as he practices it and therefore I believe that we have made the most of this situation so far. In any case, I hope for a good match and I think that the chances for winning are equal, although for us, honestly, even one point would be a satisfactory result – said Nikolić.

He joined Vojvodina just before the end of the summer transfer window, and in Voša so far he scored three goals and made two assists.

– I am satisfied with my stay in Novi Sad and the way I was accepted by the coach, teammates, board members and all the people in the club. It makes me happy and gives me confidence, and I hope I will justify that in the coming games with even more goals in the opponents net. I do not feel like I am on loan here, but literally like I have been playing for Vojvodina for many years – said Nikolić.

The match between Partizan and Vojvodina will be played tomorrow at 2 pm in Belgrade, with live broadcast on O2 television.
