At FC Vujadin Boškov in Veternik, a professional contract with FK Vojvodina was signed today by 19-year-old Petar Pavlićević, who is now already a former member of Benfica from Lisbon.

As a young player and already a U-21 national team player of Montenegro, Pavlićević went to Benfica when he was 18 from Mladost Podgorica, and for the past period he played for the youth team of the Portuguese club.

His transfer to Vojvodina was completed thanks to an agreement with Benfica Football Club, as well as to the player’s great desire to join Old Lady in order to continue his further development and show his undeniably great talent.

In order to get a chance to play continuously, Pavlićević will be loaned to FK Kabel in the upcoming half-season and, if he shows quality performances that meet the requirements and needs of FK Vojvodina, he will join the first team of red and whites in the summer.

According to Vojvodina’s president Vojislav Gajić, Pavlićević is not the only young player from whom the club has expectations in the future.

– On this occasion, I would also like to mention that Milan Vidakov, who is a child of Vojvodina and who spent the last six months on loan in Vršac, during this time showed a certain quality, and in agreement with the management of FK Kabel, it was decided that he will play for that team in the next half-season as a loaned player of Vojvodina. He is an striker who, if he shows the quality required for Vojvodina, will also be transfered to our senior team in the summer. Also, I want to make it clear that the first team from the Youth Academy will be joined by striker Vukašin Bogdanović, as well as central back Igor Jeličić, who is a child of our club. Besides them, there are three or four young players who are also seriously knocking on the doors of the first team – said Gajić.
