Today is the last day of preparations of Vojvodina football players in Belek. In the past 12 days, the red and whites have been training hard and played five friendly games, and today they will have a general rehearsal before returning home and the start of the second part of the season, which is scheduled for next week.

At 1 pm Serbian time, at the Beliss Sport Center in Belek, the red and whites’ rival will be Rubin from Kazan, currently the 13th-ranked team in the Russian Premier League and a club whose first-team value is estimated at around € 52.18 million. Rubin is a club founded in 1958 under the name Iskra, which was changed to its current name six years later. In its history, Rubin has five trophies, including two titles, one Cup and two Russian Super Cups, all of which were won between 2009 and 2012. Interestingly, this club has never played in the first league of the former Soviet Union.

The Manager of this team is the famous Russian coach Leonid Slutski, who earlier in his career was on the bench of CSKA Moscow, Hull City, Rostov, Vitesse, and was also the Manager of Russian national team. At his disposal, he has a team composed mainly of domestic players, but among them are also two players from Croatia and Georgia and one from Brazil, Sweden, Ukraine and Denmark, as well as Serbian international Darko Jevtić, former member of Basel and Lech Poznan.

According to the Manager of Vojvodina Nenad Lalatović, Rubin will be opposed today by a lineup who will be given the opportunity to play all 90 minutes and will be made up of players who did not appear in yesterday’s friendly match against Freiberg.
