The corona virus pandemic is also spreading in Serbia, where the number of infected is increasing day by day. During this time, all sports competitions in the country were suspended and athletes, including Vojvodina footballers, train exclusively without contact with other persons.

Of course, this is not the same as the usual training process, as confirmed by the words of Vojvodina goalkeeper Nikola Simić.

– Just yesterday, after a joint online training we had, we commented among ourselves how much harder it is to work this way than at FC Vujadin Boškov. It is kind of a feeling that we are all in the same place together, but again, it is not the same – says Simić.

At regular training sessions during the season, goalkeepers generally work separately from other teammates.

– Yes, but now we train with others and follow the instructions of fitness coach Saša Semeredi. Unfortunately, in the apartment it is not very practical to do ball exercises, so currently the only thing different what we do than the other teammates are some exercises for upper body strength – Simić points out.

Vojvodina’s goalkeeper urges everyone to adhere to the prescribed protection measures.

– We must all adhere to what they tell us and respect the measures for the safety of all of us. First of all, I mean on wearing masks and gloves and avoiding contact with other people as much as possible. Everything will pass, and so will this, but it is up to all of us to make every effort so that it passes as soon as possible and with as few consequences as possible – said Simić.
