Vojvodina won against Mačva by 3-1 (0-0), in the first round of the Super League of Serbia.

At the Slavko Maletin Vava stadium in Bačka Palanka, the scorers for Voša were Matic in 50th and 51st and Gemović in 90th, while Stevanović scored in 79th minute for Mačva.

In the first half, it was played mostly in the middle of the pitch. Vojvodina had a bigger possession, but Mačva was slightly more dangerous in front of the goal.

However, in the 50th minute, Voša came into the lead. The cross from the side was greatly used by Matić who brought his team into the lead with a header, and only a minute later, the same player increased the lead to 2-0, after a good run by Vincent.

In the 79th minute, the team from Šabac managed to reduce the result thanks to Stevanović’s striking shot from around 18 meters, when the ball crossed over Rockov’s hand and somehow ended in the net.

Nevertheless, in the 90th minute, Gemović scored his debut goal in the Vojvodina jersey and at the same time set the final 3-1 for the Old Lady.

FK Vojvodina president Vojislav Gajić sent sincere words of gratitude to the hosts from OFK Bačka, on warm hospitality and great help in organizing the match, which was played in a great atmosphere and in front of well-filled stands.

In the next round, red and whites will be playing against Napredak in Kruševac.
