Vojvodina Football Club today has hired another new player in this transfer window. By signing a two-year contract, a new member of the red and whites became 25-years-old Vanja Marković, who arrived today at the Terme Hotel in Slovenia and will be involved in the preparations of his new team from tomorrow.

Vanja Marković was born on June 20, 1994 in Belgrade and passed the younger categories of Partizan, and his senior career began at Corona Kielce from Poland. He then played for the Vardar Skopje and Portuguese second-division team Farense, for which he played a total of 22 matches during the last season.

He plays in the position of defensive midfielder and says that he is satisfied for becoming a new member of Vojvodina.

– When after seven years abroad you decide to return to Serbia, then you must have a very strong reason for something like that, and Vojvodina certainly is. I am familiar with the history of the club and there is no doubt that Vojvodina, along with Red Star and Partizan, is the most famous name in the Serbian football. After all, today in the strong European leagues there are many players who have previously played here. The new teammates I met are great, and I have heard many good things about the coach, so I believe we will have a nice story this season and qualify for some European competition – Marković said.
