The Serbian football championship continues next weekend with the games of the 17th round of the Super League, in which Vojvodina will face Napredak from Kruševac at home. The match will be played on Saturday, starting at 6pm, and the red and whites are hoping and believe that with a victory they will confirm a good result from the previous round against Mačva, when they triumphed and got to the second place in the standings.

One of the players from whom the Old Lady fans always expect good performance and goals is fast-winger, 26-year-old Eze Vincent, one of the most popular players among the fans of Voša, who in the last two matches again took his place in the starting lineup.

– Against Napredak, we definitely expect a difficult match. After all, in the Super League, every game is difficult for us, because against Vojvodina everyone is additionally motivated and eager to achieve a good result. In the last round, Napredak defeated Čukarički by 3-1, which will certainly be a great encouragement to them and give them extra confidence before coming to our stadium. On the other hand, we beat them in Kruševac with a score of 0-2 and certainly we have bigger quality than them, but we will have to show that and prove it on the pitch – says Vincent.

He has been playing in Vojvodina’s jersey for almost two years, but points out that this season in the club everything is much better than before.

– We have a new management, a new coach and a few new players, and now it’s definitely much better than it was. Players receive salaries on a regular basis, and we also get premiums for each win, while earlier this was the case only if we win against a stronger opponent. When so, then we can be focused only on the pitch and in such situation it is much easier to play. After all, we are aware that the management of the club is making a great effort to get us what belongs to us at the end of each month, and we feel an obligation to return them for that effort with maximum dedication on the pitch – Vincent emphasizes.

In his opinion, this could be a good season for Vojvodina.

– Before the start of the season, we said that our goal is to secure a placement to Europe, which means that we should win one of the first four places. We are second for now and we are doing very well, and if we continue to win and the situation in the club remains as it is now, I am convinced that we will be able to achieve that goal and play on the international stage next season – said Vincent.
