After more than a month and a half break, Vojvodina football players today again ran onto the pitch at their FC Vujadin Boškov. In a good atmosphere and with strict adherence to all prescribed measures of the Government of Serbia regarding the holding of outdoor training, the red and whites followed the instructions of their boss Nenad Lalatović and other members of the coaching staff, thus beginning preparations for a certain continuation of the season.

According to Nenad Lalatović, as time goes on, efforts for players will be increasing.

– The most important thing is that we are all alive and well and have returned to our daily obligations at Vujadin. We have been waiting for this for a very long time and that is why I am pleased with the smiles on the faces of the players as it is evident that they misssed their club. As for this week, today we will only have an introductory ball workout, followed by two training sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, one on Thursday, another two on Friday and Saturday and a day off on Sunday. As time goes on, training will be harder and harder because we need to get well prepared when the season continues – says Lalatović.

However, it is still unknown when the season will continue, nor how many games will be played until its completion.

– If the playoffs will to be played, then would certainly be another 11 games to come, plus possibly four more in the Cup, and personally I still think it would be devastating for the players. However, there are more expert people who will decide how the season should end. As a coach, I have to be ready for anything, just like my players. If the state of emergency ends, our plan is to play three or four friendly games, though we have not scheduled anything yet. However, if our president Aleksandar Vučić’s announcement that the state of emergency will be finished by the end of this week is true, we will quickly schedule some friendly matches – said Lalatović.

He points out that FK Vojvodina has excellent training conditions.

– We have six courts and eight locker rooms, so when you see all this at Vujadin, then you have a great will to work, and it all adds up to a great and winning atmosphere among the players. As for me personally, I have a huge desire to win a trophy with Vojvodina and would give literally 10 years of my life to make it happen – said Lalatović.
