Vojvodina was defeated against Red Star with the result 0-2 (0-1), in the derby of the 15th round of the Serbian Super League.

In the match that was played without the presence of spectators, the scorers for Belgrade were Gajić in the 26th minute and Ben in the 75th minute (p).

Before the start of the match, the acting President of FK Vojvodina Dragoljub Samardžić handed a framed jersey of Vojvodina with the number 100 and a commemorative statue to Siniša Saničanin, who in the last round against Metalac played his 100th match in the jersey of the Old Lady, and after that, a minute of silence was held in honor of the recently deceased Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej.

The first chance in the game was seen in the first minute, when Vukadinović shot excellently from about 15 meters, but Borjan defended brilliantly. On the other hand, Red Star fought back in the 19th minute, when Ben took a free kick from about 20 meters, but the ball went a few centimeters above the bar.

However, in the 26th minute, the Belgraders gained the advantage. In the counterattack, Gajić shot from about 25 meters diagonally and brought his team to the lead.

Red Star had a new opportunity in the 36th minute, also after the counterattack, when Ivanić shot from about 20 meters, but the ball went a few centimeters near the goal post. The same player run well next to Andrić in the 50th minute and then shot from about 23-24 meters diagonally, but the ball went over the bar of Vojvodina’s goal.

In the 73rd minute, Voša also had a good opportunity, after Đorđević’s cross from the left and Andrić’s shot from fifteen meters, but the ball went outside the goal range. Only a minute later, referee Novak Simović characterized the tackle of Đuričin over Nikolić in the penalty area of ​​Vojvodina as a violation and awarded a penalty for the away team.

Penalty for Red Star was surely taken by Ben, who thus increased the advantage of his team.

Until the end of the match, the game took place mostly in the middle of the pitch, without major opportunities for any team, so the match ended with the victory of the team from Belgrade.
