Bandović: Čukarički is the match of the year, we are not thinking about the Cup finals

The coach of Vojvodina, Božidar Bandović believes that the upcoming match against Čukarički is the real finale, and one of the most important games of the season.

On Wednesday, the players of the Old Lady are welcoming the team of Čukarički FC in the 34^th round of Mozzart Bet Superleague of Serbia in the direct fight for the qualifications for Europe.

• First of all, I would like to wish everyone happy holidays, Merry Easter, and I would like to congratulate our Vojvodina on their Patron Saint’s day. After a few good matches, we are expecting a difficult and well-known rival against whom we played two matches this season. We shouldn’t talk a lot, we know each other, we passed Čukarički in the Cup. This is the finale for us, the match of the year, very important, because with this victory we are closing the circle and brining what we started to an end. I am over the moon for the results achieved, and the way we played, as well as the character and the progress that we achieved during all this time. We are not relaxing, but preparing in the same way, because we want to bring this season to an end like in the right way. The goal was to rest, everyone is healthy and together, except for Sery who has four yellow cards and won’t play – Bandović said.

The coach of Vojvodina claims that neither him, nor his players are thinking about the finals of the Serbian Cup against the Red Star.

• I am personally, as a coach, concerned only for the upcoming match. The only thing that we want is to win against Čukarički, and we move match by match. We are not thinking about Napredak either, nor the Cup finals. We all love trophies and victories, but that is why we need to take it step by step, and not skip any steps. We are facing a few key matches and the next match is always the most important one – Bandović highlighted.

He believes that Čukarički is not only dangerous on the flanks, but that Vojvodina has to be focused on all the good sides of the opponent.

• We played against them, we know then, but we observe each match separately. The flank is not the only problem, but also the individual quality, counter-attack, and everything that Čukarički are good at, we have to disable their positive sides. Likewise, we need to be the best that we can be, and use all our advantages against the rival – Bandović concluded.

The tickets for this match will be sold on matchday, from 4:30pm, at the ticket office of Karađorđe stadium, according to the following prices: 800 dinars for the west, and 500 dinars for the east stand.

As always, all those who come wearing the labels of Vojvodina FC will have free entrance to the east stand. The game is scheduled for May 8^th at 6 pm.
