On Thursday, Vojvodina will play an important European match in the third round of qualifications for the Conference League, since, starting at 7 pm, it will meet LASK Linz at Karađorđe.

The sale of tickets for this match started today in the premises of the company GIGS TIX in the shopping center Pariski magazin, and by the decision of FK Vojvodina, a part of the income from the sale of tickets will be forwarded for humanitarian purposes.

Specifically, 200 dinars from each ticket sold will be paid into the account for the treatment of little Boško Gugleta, a seven-month-old baby from Novi Sad, who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy and needs expensive treatment abroad.

Boško was born on January 14, 2021 in Novi Sad. The pregnancy and childbirth went smoothly, but when he was three months old, his parents noticed that he was much calmer than he should have been at that age. Although poor mobility has been present since birth, it has always been justified by the fact that children are different – some are more lively and some calmer. Remembering Dušan, Boško’s brother, and watching his videos, their parents noticed a significant difference, which immediately turned on the red alarm.

After numerous examinations and analyzes, they obtained results that they feared. Unfortunately, Boško was diagnosed with SMA 1 (spinal muscular atrophy type 1). It is a neuromuscular disease, severe and progressive, which can be fatal. The disease is manifested by progressive muscle atrophy and loss of vital functions, such as walking, digestion, swallowing and breathing.

From the fourth month of life, Boško, a brave baby, begins his struggle for life. The treatment that has proven to be extremely successful and whose main goal is Zolgensma gene therapy. However, this modern therapy, approved in 2019, is currently the most expensive in the world. Parents invite all people of good will to give their contribution in order to reach the goal as soon as possible – the amount of 2.5 million euros.

Since June 19, Boško has been in intensive care at the Children’s Hospital in Novi Sad and is not able to breathe and eat on his own. Every day, his condition is getting worse, so it is extremely important to raise funds as soon as possible.

Boško needs funds for Zolgensma therapy, treatment abroad, rehabilitation, physical and occupational therapies, for laboratory analyzes, orthopedic aids, medical devices, as well as for travel expenses and accommodation.
