With a sad heart, the football club Vojvodina informs the public that Vladimir Rakić, a member of the Old Lady team that reached the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup in 1967, has passed away.

Rakić was born on July 1, 1946 in Novi Sad, where he spent most of his playing and later coaching career. He was a member of Vojvodina in the period from 1966 to 1969. In the Old Lady jersey, he made 48 official appearances, while including friendly matches he played around 150 matches.

Apart from Vojvodina, he played for FK Novi Sad and Sloboda from Tuzla, and he ended his playing career in 1976, after which he worked as a coach.

To his family, friends and everyone who knew him, the football club Vojvodina expresses its sincere and deep condolences.
