After a draw of his team against Proleter, Vojvodina’a Manager’s duty completer Radovan Krivokapic said that he has nothing to object regarding the effort of his players, and that he even did not expect a particularly nice football match.
Vojvodina and Proleter played today 0-0 in the 21st round of the Super League of Serbia.
– First of all, I would like to thank all those who helped to play this game, and at the same time, I want to express my admiration for FK Proleter and colleague Radojicic for everything they achieved in this half-season. For the first time this team is in this rang of competition, so it is really an honor for making these results. As for the game itself, there is not much to tell here. It was not much of a game to see, but as I said in the announcement of the match, a trench battle was expected. There was spirit, aggression and fighting in each part of the pitch, and as far as that is concerned, I do not have a single word of criticism for our players. We were closer to win and it remains unfortunate for those two or three chances we had in the second half, but we are going further. We go on a pause, analyze and take a good rest, so we will see what and how to proceed – says Krivokapic.
In this match, in the team of Vojvodina, among the 18 players in the protocol were not Eze Vincent (25) and Lazar Arsic (27).
– Eze had a pain in the ankle and he could not play in this match, while Arsic, due to the gesture at the last match, on my decision was not in competition for the team – emphasizes Krivokapic.
In the last four matches in the autumn part of the season, that is, since he took over the team, red and whites had one victory and three draws.
– I am at the beginning of my career and others have always advised me that if you can not win, do not lose. However, in each of those four games, I came in with thinking and transferred energy to players to be aggressive and play an attacking football. The extent to which our opponents allowed it, that’s a question, but we always attempted to play offensive. In all the matches since I took over the Manager’s role, we were closer to victory and deserved to win. We missed a lot of chances, but that’s football – said Krivokapić.
This was also the last round in the fall part of the season, and the championship will continue on February 16, when Vojvodina will play against Red Star in Belgrade. The start of preparation of red and whites for the new half-season is scheduled for January 10, although the players on January 8 and 9 will first take the necessary and usual medical tests.
