In the 20th round of the Super League of Serbia, Vojvodina will play against OFK Bačka in Backa Palanka. In the previous round, red and whites remained without a win against Macva, with the goal conceded just a few minutes before the final whistle, so their effort and energy were not adequately rewarded in term of the final score.
However, according to Manager’s duty completer of the “old lady” Radovan Krivokapić, the performance that Voša had, can encourage them ahead of the last two matches in the first part of the season.
– After analyzing the game with my associates, I have to point out that we were a much better rival and that we had to seal this match in our favor. However, what pleases me is that the team showed the attitude towards the jersey that we all want and expect to be. This approach, aggression, will, fighting spirit, the desire to win … The players have shown it all, but football is raw, and sometimes, even when you do your best, you will not be rewarded at the end. But what I also rejoice is that, the day after, the reaction of the team was surprisingly good. With the sports sector of the club, we all gave support to the players to continue with such a relationship and have a professional approach to their duties. This is the way Vojvodina needs to go and I sincerely hope that we will all help the team finish this half-season in the way we all want, which is to win in the other two matches – says Krivokapic.
The first of these two matches will be played on Sunday in Bačka Palanka, when Voša will face OFK Bačka.
– The first one is always the most important, and we will play against Backa, which plays similar football as our previous opponent, so there are no innovations and unknowns for us on this issue. I am convinced that we will enter the match with the same desire and aggressiveness, in order to try to attack the opponent from the first minute and let him know that we have come for three points – says Krivokapic.
Even on this match, Vojvodina’s squad will not be complete.
– There’s always a small problem in our team, so this time too. Because of the yellow cards, we will not be able to count on Eze, but I believe that whoever will replace him will fulfill the expectations that will be placed ahead of him. On the other hand, some standard players are recovering from injury, so I believe that the team will be stronger than in the previous round – Krivokapic said.
The match between OFK Backa and Vojvodina will be played on Sunday at the Slavko Maletin Vava stadium in Backa Palanka, starting at 5 PM.
