In the derby of the sixth round of the Serbian Super League, Vojvodina will meet Partizan at Karađorđe tomorrow. After three victories in the previous three rounds, the atmosphere in the squad of the red and whites is great, so everyone hopes for the continuation of the winning streak and another triumph over the team from Belgrade, against which they had previously won twice in the finish of the previous season.
However, the Manager, Nenad Lalatović, warns that Partizan has an extremely high-quality team, and that it will not be easy for his team to achieve its goal.
– Partizan is a great club, which enters every game with a great motive. Regardless of whether they play against Vojvodina, Red Star, TSC, Čukarički or someone else, they are going for win in every game, but the same applies to us, so I think we will have a quality match. We are playing against a very high-quality opponent, who has a great staff and phenomenal individuals who can solve the game with one move. However, neither are we better than them, nor are they better than us. Regardless of the fact that we are the hosts, since the match will be played without fans, the chances are 50-50. The team that has more patience and enters the game better will get three points, and I hope it will be us. I absolutely believe in my players, who train well and among whom there is a winning atmosphere. But, it is also the case in Partizan, which has beaten Inđija 5-0, and before that on a difficult away match in Surdulica – says Lalatović.
He believes that Partizan does not play much differently compared to last season.
– They don’t have any changes in the way they play and neither they can surprise us, nor can we surprise them. We already know each other so well, and we have played twice in the last two and a half months. Their squad is the same, and their only new player is the central defender who they brought. I know their individual and collective quality, as they know ours. I really appreciate Savo Milošević as a coach and, in my opinion, he deserved to be a long-term solution for Partizan. I really respect them, but I respect my team and my Vojvodina the most. I am very sorry that we will not be able to perform in front of our fans, because they deserve to support our club, but even without them we will give our best and try to win all three points – Lalatović emphasized.
The match between Vojvodina and Partizan will be played on Sunday at 6:45 PM at Karađorđe, with a live broadcast on the first channel of Arena Sport television. Due to the current epidemiological situation, this match will also be played without the presence of spectators.
