In the third round of the Super League of Serbia, tomorrow Vojvodina will play against Rad at Karađorđe. After two wins in the first two rounds, this will be the premiere match for Voša this season at Karađorđe, where a complete replacement of the grass was made this summer, so the pitch will be in ideal condition for the players of two teams to show the best they can.
In addition, tickets for this game will be available for free at the box office, so there are plenty of reasons for Old Lady fans to fill the stands and help their team in the quest for another win, which, according to the Manager of red and whites Nenad Lalatović, is his team’s goal in this game as well.
Still, he says that this goal is not easily achievable.
– Expectations are always high, so this time we will go for win again. The statistics are not quite on our side, especially as Vojvodina has lost 2-1 and 1-0 in the last two games against Rad at Karađorđe. When I was the coach of Vojvodina for the first time, we had 2-0 in Banjica, but then they scored two goals and the game ended with a draw. Rad is an organized and specific club, because it is run by people who simply adore it and give everything for it, and not just the people who run it, but the players as well. They have their own quality, especially when it comes to young players. For example, they have Mladenović, who plays behind the striker or on the right side and whom I wanted to bring here, but I failed, then Petrović, who is certainly one of the most talented young players in Serbia, etc. – says Lalatović.
However, the quality of the opponent does not change the ambitions of the red and whites.
– A tough and demanding match awaits us, but whoever we play against at Karađorđe, we want to win. The atmosphere in the team is very good, winning. The players laugh and that is what makes me happy. They fulfill all the requirements that I put ahead of them, which could be seen in the previous two games that we won, both of which we played away, although we felt like at home in Bačka Palanka. Now we have a little pressure, because this is the first game on a new pitch at our stadium, and I expect and would ask our fans to come to the match because the entry will be free and this team needs support in order to achieve victory against a very inconvenient rival such as Rad – says Lalatović.
Ahead of the start of the season, he emphasized that he expects his team to start playing the way he wants from the third or fourth round.
– I am very sorry that I did not came here on time, as I am still not satisfied with my team’s physical fitness and it can be seen that we are falling a bit in the last 20 minutes, when my teams usually show a difference towards the opponent. However, during time, that will come too. In the first two rounds we won, which is the most important, but it is certain that we can play much better. We have played very well tactically in the first two matches and it will be important to be so against Rad too, who we have analyzed and who can beat anyone. That is why I would like very much that the fans come in large number, because if they want Vojvodina to play in Europe again, Karađorđe must be much fuller than it has been in the last two years – Lalatović notes.
He points out that he does not know what kind of reception he can expect from the audience, in front which he will reappear tomorrow as the coach of Vojvodina for the first time after two and a half years.
– I spent six months in Napredak, managed it the way I now run Vojvodina and made results with that club, so people respected me for that, but later when I came here as a coach of another club and in the same way I wanted to for my current team to win, they insulted my kids and family. I’m not bothered with how the audience will accept me tomorrow, because I’m doing my job stoically and maximally correctly, so if I deserve their support, I’ll get it, and if I don’t deserve it, I won’t – said Lalatović.
The match between Vojvodina and Rad will be played at 8 pm tomorrow at Karađorđe, and tickets for this match will be available for free at the box office. Tickets for the west will be available at the main box office of the stadium (between the west and south stand), tickets for the east will be available at the box office at the east stand (next to the restaurant Ognjište), while tickets for the north will be available at the premises of the fan group The Firm in the north stand of the stadium.
With an ID card, one person will be able to take up to three tickets. The box offices will be open on match day, two hours before the kick off, and the match will be broadcast live on the first channel of Arena sport television.
