Former striker of Inđija, Nebojša Bastajić, is a new member of the football club Vojvodina.

Bastajić signed a two-year contract, and today he joined the team in the preparations in Slovenia, and on that occasion he expressed satisfaction with the signing for the Old Lady.

– I am very glad that I signed for Vojvodina, one of our three biggest clubs. I watched the match with Mura, the impressions are positive, but it is still early for any prognosis, the legs are heavy from the preparations, so we will only be better – said Bastajić.

He emphasized that he did not hesitate much when the invitation from Vojvodina arrived.

– Honestly, everything happened quickly, the name of the club and the reputation that Vojvodina has had a decisive influence on my acceptance of the offer – said Bastajić, who pointed out that he manages equally well in the positions of left wing and central striker.

– I manage best in those positions, but if necessary, I can also play midfield and right. The most important thing is for the team to win and record the best possible results and to be at the top of the table. When we play well as a team, then I will be better too – says 30-year-old Bastajić.

He scored nine championship goals last season and he hopes that his goal-scoring performance will be even better in Vojvodina, but that his task will also be to pass on the experience to younger players.

– My teammates accepted me very well, there are a few of us who are more experienced who will be there to help and advise younger players. We have a lot of space for improvement – concluded Bastajić, noting that he has not played games since the last round of the Serbian Super League and that he will “need a little time to find the rhythm”.

Before Inđija, Bastajić played for TSC, Dobanovci, Smederevo, Bangkok, Bežanija, Vataniakos, Srem Jakovo and Voždovac.
