Vojvodina has defeated Mačva with the result 1-0 (1-0), in the 17th round of the Serbian Super League.
In the match that was played without the presence of spectators at Karađorđe, the scorer of the only goal in the match was Mrkaić in the 32nd minute.
The teams performed in the following lineups:
Vojvodina: Vukliš – Andrić, Đurić, Devetak, Đorđević – Drinčić, Stojković – Zukić, Čović, Gemović – Mrkaić (from 64th Mladenović).
Mačva: Gordić – Ivić, Obrovac, Ortiz, Marković (from 72nd Pejović) – Dabić, Mijailović, Zukanović (from 79th Đoković), Ristivojević – Knežević, Božić (from 46th Mihajlović).
Voša had the first opportunity in the sixth minute, when Đorđević centered from the left side, and Čović sent a header, but the ball went next to the goalpost. Mačva retaliated in the 23rd minute, also after a cross from the left, when Mijailović sent a header, but Vukliš defended well.
In the 28th minute, a shot from about 20 meters diagonally was sent by Zukić, but the ball went next to the goal post. Only a minute later, after a good run on the left side, Gemović shot from fifteen meters diagonally, but Gordić defended.
However, in the 32nd minute, Voša took the lead. Drinčić centered from the corner, and Mrkaić jumped well in the penalty area of the away team and brought his team to a 1-0 lead.
Only five minutes later, Mrkaić had a fantastic opportunity to score another goal, but from a distance of two or three meters, he failed to pass the ball into the net. On the other hand, Mačva was able to equalize in the 66th minute, when Mijailović shot excellently from about 20 meters, but Vukliš once again defended brilliantly.
By the end of the match, possession of the ball was more often on the side of Vojvodina, whose players had two or three more solid opportunities to increase their advantage, with the best one in the 90th minute, when Gordić defended Gemović’s shot. However, there were no more changes in the result, so the Old Lady achieved another minimal victory and thus won three new points in this season.
