In the penultimate round of the Serbian Super League, Vojvodina will meet Spartak at Karađorđe on Friday, and at the press conference before this match, the assistant coach of Vojvodina, Dragan Šarac, addressed the media.

He pointed out that the team is still motivated, just like the coaching staff, and that they want to win the remaining two games before the end of the season, but also part with Vojvodina.

– This generation, which has been together for the past two years, has created a good atmosphere. We are like a family. We thank the players for all the successes. I think we recorded great results. We secured Europe twice, we won the Serbian Cup, this year we unfortunately lost in the semifinals to Partizan. Although we are nearing the end, there is still a good atmosphere in the team, the rule “all for one, one for all” still applies. We will do these two games as professionally as possible – said Šarac.

The assistant coach of the Old Lady expects a new uncertain duel against the traditionally unpleasant rival.

– This will be another real Vojvodina derby, as always against the unpleasant Spartak. Our matches are traditionally uncertain, just like the one in the quarterfinals of the Serbian Cup. They are fighting for survival, and we to stay in third place. We will do our best to win – Šarac pointed out.

He added that several players are out of the team, first of all captain Nikola Drinčić, and the central backs tandem Saničanin-Bralić.

– We have certain personnel problems. Drinčić, Saničanin and Bralić are in question, we will see if any of them will manage to recover. Everyone who gets a chance will give his best to secure third place with a victory – Šarac points out.

If Vojvodina wins the remaining two games, Nenad Lalatović’s team will set a new record for the number of championship triumphs in one season.

– It is a great success for us, both for the players and for the coaching staff. We have that as an additional motive to achieve a historical result and to part in the right way. I really think that this coaching staff did a great thing, not only because of the results, but also because of the fact that the first team members became numerous young players who will bring money to the club in the future. Those are Topić, Zukić, Bjeković, Devetak, Kabić, Novevski, they are the future of the club – concluded Šarac.

The match Vojvodina – Spartak is on the program on Friday at 4 pm, with a live broadcast on Novosadska TV.
