Coach of Vojvodina FC Miroslav Tanjga and Njegoš Petrović are optimistic before the duel with Radnički 1923.

Players of the Old Lady are welcoming the team from Kragujevac on Saturday, which is another match that can decide the placement to Europe.

  • Until now all the games were important, and now we reached the very finish and this match will decide a lot. We are preparing like always, with the highest focus as possible, and the desire to win. I have to highlight that after this game we don’t get to correct anything, because it is the most important match and we will give our all to make the fans happy, and I hope that they will come in large numbers. As for the players, the situation is improving, Njegoš Petrović, Bamidele and Uroš Nikolić are ready, some are still under a question mark, and we have yet to decide who will be in the starting 11, and who will sit on the bench. All in all, we are in a much better position than we were before the previous game, and that is another reason for our optimism – Tanjga said.

Petrović believes that this is the first of the three finals.

  • We have three finales until the end, tomorrow is the first against Radnički, and we are definitely facing a hard and demanding match, above all physically, because I think that their team plays the most intensive football, led by their head of staff, whom I admire greatly, because of his work. For me personally, matches against them were the hardest, and I expect that it will be the case this time as well. Still, I believe that we will manage to win in that first finale, and that we will welcome the next two finales happy and in a good mood – Petrović said.

Radnički 1923 has not won against Vojvodina in Novi Sad for decades, but Tanjga believes that they should not be focusing on the tradition.

  • Today’s generations do not care a lot about tradition, and I am not pressured by those stats, because personally I never had encounters with Radnički 1923. They are a club that grew into a respectable and well-organized club, as the results prove. They are facing a mini crisis and I think they are a team which we should not fear. We should not be scared of any team when we play well, not even Red Star. We should just believe in ourselves, stick to our principles of playing, and then we will not have any problems. We respect Radnički 1923 for everything they have achieved, and for fighting for Europe once again – Tanjga said.

After Radnički, we are facing the finale of the Serbian Cup, but Tanjga is refusing to think about the match against the Red Star.

  • Honestly, I am not thinking about the game against the Red Star, and Tanjga refuses to think about the Red Star. This next match is the most important one and after it we can talk about the Cup. With this match, we will confirm everything we have been doing for the past two months, and it is the crown of our work. I am only thinking about that match, and I believe that is how the players think, after Radnički we will have time to dedicate ourselves to the game against Red Star – Tanjga said.

Petrović added that no one in the dressing room is talking about the duel with Red Star.

  • We are figthing for something both in the Cup and in the championship, and I think that we have been fighting for Europe during the entire season, and this game will bring us to the goal. We are not thinking about the match against the Red Star, in the dressing room no one mentions the finale, and we are focused only on the game against Radnički 1923 – Petrović stated.

In the end, Petrović highlighted that the match against TSC in the Serbian Cup is the direction that he and his players should take.

  • The model should be the match against TSC, and that should be the model we must follow, and the person responsible for that model is our head of staff, and that is the only way that we can win against Radnički and I most certainly hope that we will – Petrović concluded.

The match between Vojvodina and Radnički 1923 is scheduled for Saturday at 6:30pm, with a live broadcast on RTV1 and Arena Sport 4.
