Uroš Vitas is a new member of Vojvodina.

Vitas was born on July 6, 1992 in Niš, grew up in Radnički, and then continued his youth development in Partizan and Rad Youth Academies. He started to build his Superleague status in Rad, which he left in January 2014 when he joined the Belgian side Gent.

He wore the jersey of Gent for two years, then he played for Mechelen, Irtysh from Kazakhstan and Partizan. After eight months in Partizan during 2020, in October he moved to Al-Kadshija from Saudi Arabia, from which he comes to Vojvodina.

He signed a two-year contract with the Old Lady today, and will wear jersey number 4.

– It is a great honor for me to become a part of such a big club with a rich tradition as Vojvodina has. This season, Voša has shown that she has serious plans and big ambitions, which also coincide with my personal wishes. I can’t wait to start training with the rest of the team. I hope that with my experience and my quality I will contribute to our progress and that we will continue to grow together as a team. I know some of my teammates, Nemanja and Uroš Nikolić and Fića Malbašić, with whom I went through all the junior categories in the national team, and I’m glad that our paths crossed again. I hope that together we will achieve a lot of success in the Vojvodina jersey – said Vitas.

He is physically fully fit, but expects to join the rest of the team in the next round when Javor visits Karađorđe.

– Physically, I am completely ready, but I need a few more training sessions to get to know the team and to get used to it at least a little. I believe that I will be ready to help from the next round against Javor – said Vitas.

He is the tenth reinforcement of Vojvodina this summer, as Lazar Carević, Mamadou Traore, Radomir Milosavljević, Yves Baraye, Filip Malbašić, Uroš Nikolić, Nemanja Nikolić, Nikola Čumić and Filip Antonijević came before him.
