Vojvodina defeated Radnik away with the result 2-0 (2-0) in the ninth round of the Serbian Super League.

The scorers for Vojvodina were Veljko Simić in the 26th minute and Nebojša Bastajić in the 31st minute.

The teams performed with the following lineups:

Radnik: Ranđelović, Hodžić, Radmanović, Malešević, Bogdanovski, Lukić (from 56th Milovanović), Subotić, Oreščanin (from 66th Medić), Nedeljković, Stojanović, Dimitrov (from 56th Janjić).

Vojvodina: N. Simić – Bjeković, Kopitović, Stevanović (from 59th Jeličić), Devetak – Busnić, Topić – Vukadinović, Čović (from 85th Zukić), V. Simić – Bastajić (from 70th Kabić).

At the very beginning, there were not many opportunities, except for inaccurate attempts by Bogdanovski on the one hand and Bastajić on the other, but without much danger to the goalkeepers.

Vojvodina was more specific as time went on, and the more dangerous performance of Slavoljub Đorđević’s team was crowned by Veljko Simić. In the 26th minute, he masterfully accepted Bastajić’s pass and gave a forefoot with the outer part of his foot and then hit a further corner for 0-1.

Only five minutes later, Vojvodina doubled its advantage. Čović headed the ball to Bastajić, who made a dribble, entered the middle and then hit the net diagonally from the left side for 0-2.

In the 35th minute, Vojvodina had another great opportunity. Čović, in a similar way as Bastajić, shot a further angle from the left side, but the goalkeeper of Radnik stood out. In the continuation of the same action, Bastajić centered again for Čović, whose attempt was stopped again by Ranđelović with his head.

For the first time, Radnik threatened more seriously in the finish of the first half when Nikola Simić stopped Subotić’s attempt from a free kick.

At the beginning of the second half, the teams had a great fight in the middle of the field, but again without any serious blows to the goal. In the 58th minute, Vojvodina was left without the injured central back Stevanović, when he had to be replaced by Jeličić. Radnik tried to play more offensively, while Vojvodina did not rush much towards the goal of the rival.

Čović had the first attempt towards Radnik’s goal in the continuation, but goalkeeper Ranđelović was on the spot. Soon, the goalkeeper of Voša, Nikola Simić, stood out on the other side, who first cut a dangerous cross shot through the box, and then stopped the shot of Oreščanin.

In overtime, Veljko Simić almost scored the third goal for the Old Lady, but he shook the bar from around eight meters, so the result remained unchanged.

There were no serious opportunities until the end, so Vojvodina managed to keep the advantage with a safe game and thus reached the third championship victory and 12 points won.
