Today, the matches of the eighth finals and quarterfinals of the Trophy of Novi Sad, the autumn international football festival for children, were played on the field of SC Sajmište. As during the matches of the group phase, many interesting matches and great goals were seen, after which the four best teams reached the semifinals.
In the matches of the eighth finals, the teams that won the second or third place in their group met first, and the results were as follows:
Vojvodina B – Old Airport 2: 0
Vardar – Nizhny Novgorod B 0: 0 (after penalties 2: 1)
Partizan – Ferencvaros 2: 1
Budva – Sparta 3: 1
After the matches of the eighth finals, the quarterfinal duels were played, in which the following results were achieved:
Vojvodina A – Vojvodina B 4: 0
Nizhny Novgorod A – Vardar 4: 0
Partizan – Osijek 1: 0
Budva – Borac 1: 0
So, Vojvodina A, Nizhny Novgorod A, Partizan and Budva have placed in the semifinals, which will play tomorrow in SC Sajmište for placement in the finals and winning the cup. The pairs of the semifinals are Vojvodina A – Partizan (the match starts at 11:20 AM) and Nizhny Novgorod A – Budva (the match starts at 11:55 AM).
In SC Sajmište, matches for placement from the fifth to the 12th place will also be played tomorrow. The match for the third place will start at 12:30 PM, the final will begin at 1:05 PM, which will be followed by the closing ceremony and award ceremony.
