Former Pakhtakor striker Bojan Matić has returned to FK Vojvodina.

Matić was born on December 22, 1991 in Novi Bečej, and this is the second time he will wear the Vojvodina jersey, since he played for the Old Lady from February 2019 to January 2020, and in that period he played 33 games with 13 goals and three assists.

Matić signed a two-year contract and expressed satisfaction with his return to the ranks of Vojvodina.

– I am happy that I returned to Vojvodina, we have the same, greatest ambitions, to enter Europe and win the Serbian Cup, and that is why I returned. Novi Sad is my city and I am glad to be here again. I am happy to cooperate with coach Đorđević, I know the team, there are players I played with in the first term and I hope that we will be even more offensive and efficient – says Matić.

Matić has great experience on the domestic and international scene, since he played for Zemun, Loznica, Mačva, then he went to Korea to Seoul, from where he came to Vojvodina for the first time. After Voša, he played for Partizan, Atromitos and Pakhator.

– I changed three teams in two years, I gained beautiful experiences, I won titles. I had the opportunity to see some different football in Greece and Uzbekistan, I learned some things and I will do my best to pass that experience on to younger teammates in Vojvodina – said Matić.

He praised the young team of Vojvodina and pointed out that the previous cooperation with some players will help him fit in faster.

– I always follow our league, Voša’s team has great potential. We are fast in the attack and that is why I think we can achieve positive results. I know Čović and Vukadinović very well, Simić is here now, with the help of other young and talented players, I believe we can do great things – Matić concluded.
