Players of Vojvodina FC won against the team of OFK Beograd with the result 2:1 in the 34th round of Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia.
Scorers for Vojvodina FC were Mihai Butean in the 8th, and Yusuf Bamidele in the 17th minute from the penalty.
Teams performed in the following lineups:
OFK Beograd: Popović, Despotovski, Vukičević, Đermanović, Obradović (from the 46th Avdić), Knežević, Cvetković (from the 71st Marković), Bezera, Flajter, Jovanović (from the 46th Owusu), Stojiljković.
Vojvodina: Rosić, Butean, Tanjga (from the 75th Sichenje), Crnomarković, Barros, Medojević, Petrović (from the 20th Savićević), U. Nikolić (from the 46th Popović), Mladenović, Bamidele (from the 39th L. Nikolić), Romanić.
From the start Voša played with a clear idea to attack and win those three points. Already in the 2nd minute of the game, Medojević shot from the distance, but was imprecise.
A few minutes later Voša had two big chances in one attack, Nikolić missed the first chance, but in the continuation of the action Butean hit the net for 1:0. The attack of Vojvodina lasted long, after the first center shot of Medojević from the right flank, Nikolić received the ball on his chest, and from the penalty box shot on the ground, but the goalkeeper of OFK intervened excellently. In the continuation of the same action, the ball reached Romanić who centered from a similar position as Medojević to the further goal post, but this time Butean was there to head kick the ball into the net for 0:1.
In the 10th minute the home team had their best chance since the beginning, Bezerra centered from the right flank, Stoiljković shot from the first touch, but Rosić masterfully defended the net and pushed the ball into a corner.
Five minutes later, Bamidele made a penalty, since he excellently broke through on the left flank, and the defensive player of the home team, Obradović was late and in the desire to push the ball, he hit Bamidele’s leg, and the referee pointed to the white dot. Bamidele positioned the ball and routinely shot next to the goal post for 0:2!
Unfortunately, two minutes later came bad news for Vojvodina, since Petrović suffered an injury and had to leave the pitch. He was replaced by Vukan Savićević.
In the 23rd minute Voša had a new chance, Nikolić centered from the right flank to the other goal post, and the highest in the jump was Romanić who head kicked the ball next to the goal post.
In the 28th minute there was a dispute in the penalty area of Vojvodina, Petković went all the way to the penalty box, Rosić slided in and in the last moment pushed the ball, the home team asked for a penalty, but there was no offence.
In the 34th minute OFK Beograd threatened once again, Flajter positioned himself and shot from the edge of the penalty area, but Rosić pushed the ball into a corner with a parade.
In the next minute, Bamidele also suffered an injury, and had to leave the game just like Petrović, and he was replaced by Lazar Nikolić.
Flajter was once again the most dangerous in the penalty area of Vojvodina, in the 38th minute he was the highest in the jump after a center shot from the left flank, Rosić intervened excellently once again, and saved the net. The attacker of OFK Beograd had a new shot in the 40th minute, and he was imprecise this time.
In the 45th minute Voša had a 100% chance to score their third goal. Medojević masterfully passed to Romanić, who was alone in the penalty box, but shot strongly into the goalkeeper Popović.
At the start of the second half Tanjga made his third replacement, since Uroš Nikolić was replaced by Miloš Popović.
However, the start of the second half was not as good as the first, because already in the 47th minute Butean knocked down Owusu from the back, and the referee Simović pointed to the white dot. Knežević took the responsibility and shot for 1:2.
The same player could have scored the second goal, in the 54th minute he passed on the left flank and from the side shot next to the goal post, and four minutes after Owusu’s shot from the distance was stopped by Rosić.
Then followed a somewhat calmer period without bigger chances, Voša defended themselves tactically well, and didn’t allow the rival to create danger in front of the net, and then 15 minutes before the end Tanjga was replaced by Sichenje, to freshen up the last line.
In the finish Vojvodina controlled the game well, kept the opponent far away from the goal and saved the lead, thereby rising to the third place on the table with 51 points.
Now follows the fight for the finale of the Serbian Cup, on Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Karađorđe stadium, against the team of TSC.
