After the victory of his team against OFK Bačka, the Manager of Vojvodina, Nenad Lalatović, stated that he is very proud of everything his club has achieved so far, as well as the fact that tonight he officially became the coach with the most victories in the history of the Old Lady.

Today, Vojvodina defeated OFK Bačka with the result 3-1 (2-0), in the 13th round of the Serbian Super League.

– Thanks to people from the club and especially to Cvija, the best analyst in Serbia. I am glad that they are satisfied with me, but I did not make these results alone, but together with two generations of players. The first generation also played great and I have to praise them too, and with the second I won a trophy and became a trophy coach. I broke the records I was chasing, and one day when I leave Vojvodina, others will chase the records of Nenad Lalatović. That makes me very happy and proud – says Lalatović.

He points out that he always did his best for Vojvodina.

– I did my best in every training session and game. I was challenged many times, although as the coach of Red Star I went to Borac from Čačak and was second on the table with that club. Here I showed everyone that I am not afraid, but that I believe in myself and my work. I would advise every coach to just work, because through everyday work you improve and become better and braver – Lalatović points out.

The Manager of Vojvodina did not miss the opportunity to thank his closest associates.

– As much as it is mine, this is the success of Dragan Šarac and Vidak Bratić, because they have been with me since the first day. I have to praise the coach of the goalkeepers Jovanić, who works great with the goalkeepers, then the fitness coaches Semeredi and Sale Janković, who are also part of my team. I would also like to praise all the employees of FK Vojvodina, housekeepers, physiotherapists, people who prepare food for us, because they are all responsible for the fact that Vojvodina is second today and for the fact that I am where I am today – Lalatović notes.

He also praised his colleague on the bench of OFK Bačka, Dejan Rađenović.

– He got Bačka to the Super League and his team plays beautiful and quality football. They are an unpleasent opponent and his hand can be seen, and I wholeheartedly want him to continue like this and to stay in the Super League, because he deserves it, just like his guys and the people who run the club – says Lalatović.

Of course, he is pleased with today’s release of his team.

– We entered the game openly, strongly and with a great desire to win and stay in the second position, which we absolutely deserve. Vojvodina plays very nice football and today they is six points away from the third-placed Partizan, and three points behind Red Star. It is nice that someone else got involved in the fight for the top, so that not only Red Star and Partizan are there. At the moment, it is Vojvodina, which is why I am proud, and I dedicate all the victories to the City of Novi Sad, every citizen of Novi Sad and every fan of Vojvodina. Our fans are always our 12th player, regardless of whether they are on the mall roof or around the stadium. They love their club – Lalatović points out.

In today’s match, the question of the winner was practically not asked at any moment.

– We played very well in the first half, while in the second half Bačka started playing too. Even after 3-0, we kept everything in our hands, but we conceded a goal from the corner kick. We could have scored another goal, Bačka could have too, but when everything is added and subtracted, I think we deservedly won. I must also thank the journalists, because from the first day here, I have a good cooperation with you. Even when there were no results, you wrote nicely about me and my players, which made it easier for me to work even better – Lalatović notes.

For now, Vojvodina manages to match Red Star and Partizan in the league, although it has an incomparably smaller budget than those clubs.

– There are very high quality players in our Serbia. We cannot bring players like Falcinelli and Katai in Red Star or Soumah and Asano in Partizan, who have high salaries. These players have contributed to the quality of their teams and I would like us all to have such budgets, so that we can all strengthen in that way, because then football in Serbia would be even better. However, I am glad that Vojvodina, with a much smaller budget, is second on the table today. There is quality in Serbia, only those players need to be followed and a good scouting service made – says Lalatović.

However, he points out that he has nothing against bringing quality foreign players.

– Red Star showed that they scored with reinforcements, by entering the group stage of the Europa League. On this occasion, I congratulate them on the 5-1 victory against a very difficult opponent. I am sorry that Partizan did not enter the Europa League, just like us, although I think we deserved to pass against Standard. If we had just had a little more luck, we might have been able to get to the group stage as well. However, I am certainly proud of the guys that the people from the club and I brought from Serbia, because they also proved to be real reinforcements for Vojvodina – Lalatović points out.

Vojvodina tonight again performed with several players from its Youth Academy.

– Kabel is a club that means a lot to us, because those players grew up there. It is our “second home”, where we always have three or four players from our Youth Academy. When they mature a little and draw attention to themselves, we bring them back to Vojvodina and then they get a chance. Bjeković matured in Kabel and thanks to that, he played superbly today against the excellent team from Bačka Palanka. Zukić scored a goal, and if Topić had been healthy, he would play as well. We also have Devetak, and I am glad that little Kabić made his debut today at the age of 16.5. My great wish was for him to make his debut, just like Toroman, who is also child of Vojvodina. As much as I can, I pay attention to young players and work with them. I try to give them as many chances as possible and I will certainly do it in the future, because they absolutely deserved it – Lalatović notes.

The Manager of Vojvodina used the opportunity to praise everyone from the Youth Academy Ilija Pantelić.

– All coaches in our Youth Academy work great, which can be seen by the results they make. It is much easier for me when the coaches in the Youth Academy bring the players to the first team with such quality, because it is much easier to work with such “material”. All praise for them and Mr. Grujić, but also Mr. Brana Novaković, who is a legend of the club. When his eye sees the player, there is no mistake – says Lalatović.

He also remembers the period when he was entering senior football.

– They train and want to feel what the first team of Vojvodina means, and I know best what it means when you grow up in a club and get a chance to play for the first team. I was their age too and I went through all that. They work well and deserve a chance. I am sorry that the stadium was not full today and that our fans do not see how the children of Vojvodina get a chance. I have phenomenal communication with the people from the Youth Academy, we made a plan and we stick to it. We want our Vojvodina to be as big and strong as it used to be, even though it is strong now. That is the merit of all employees, coaching staff, players, media, fans… We are one big family, and when the family stays together, then the result comes – said Lalatović.

In the next round, Vojvodina will play against Metalac team in Gornji Milanovac.
