Vojvodina Football Club today officially presented its new players. At the press conference at FC Vujadin Boškov, the sports director of the red and whites Nikola Lazetić presented to the public Nikola Drinčić, Marko Đurišić, Petar Bojić, Jovan Kokir, Nikola Vasiljević, Đorđe Đurić and Miodrag Gemović, as well as former U-18 player Mirko Topić, while Nemanja Vučić was presented last week.

Addressing the attendees, the sports director of FK Vojvodina pointed out that the transfer window for the Old Lady is practically completed.

– These are players who, at this moment, really need FK Vojvodina. Most of them I contacted before I was officially elected as a sports director, because I had a great desire for them to come, and some of them came to the explicit request of coach Lalatović. All of them have been selected based on their previous performance, and I believe that we have now completed the team and that we will have a completely different concept of play in the future. We wanted to change the blood of FK Vojvodina and I expect that, already at the first match against Mačva, we present to the fans as an aggressive team that is fighting until the last moment – said Lazetić.

Nikola Drincic, former player of Partizan, Spartak Moscow, Krasnodar etc., is the biggest singing of Vojvodina this summer. Last season, while playing for Radnički, he was elected to the ideal team of Serbian Super League.

– The expectations from the new season are big, and the first goal is to qualify for Europe and go as far as possible in the Cup. We passed the conditioning preparations at Zlatibor, and now we look forward to the nicer part, which is football and tactics – said Drinčić.

Central back, 27-years-old Đorđe Đurić, who previously played for Rudar (Pljevlja), MTK (Hungary), Tatabanya (Hungary), Spartak, Rad and Sopot and has won the title and the Cup of Montenegro, came to strengthen the defense of Vojvodina.

– I am grateful to the management of the club, sports director Lazetić and coach Lalatović for allowing me to come to Vojvodina, which is one of our biggest clubs. I promise them that I will certainly do my best to justify their trust and show that I deserve to wear this coat-of-arms – said Đurić.

The offensive part of Voša’s team in this transfer window was boosted by the former attacking midfielder Mladost, 27-years-old Petar Bojić, who also played for Čukarički, with whom he won the Serbian Cup, and Napredak from Kruševac.

– I think I made a real career move by coming to Vojvodina, because it’s a big club, with great ambitions. However, in the past two or three years, it has been in a certain result crisis, but I believe that this season it will return to where its place is, and this is among the top three or four teams in Serbia – emphasized Bojić.

The player around whom, due to the non-signing of the contract, led a lot of controversy over the past weeks is the talented defensive midfielder, 18-years-old Mirko Topić, who passed through the Youth Academy Ilija Pantelić, and at the end of last season he also debuted for the senior team. However, this has now been resolved, and it is expected that he will continue to develop in the upcoming season and soon become one of the main players of Vojvodina.

– The club has clearly pointed out that the goal is to secure a place in Europe in the upcoming season and I believe that we will achieve it, and besides, I hope that we can win the Serbian Cup – said Topić.

Another player who passed through the Ilija Pantelić Youth Academy is the defensive midfielder, 21-years-old Marko Đurišić, who, besides in Vojvodina, also made a career in Proleter, Mačva and Dinamo from Vranje. This summer, he returned to his club.

– I’m glad to return home, to my city. The expectations are big, and it is up to me to prove myself by giving the maximum in every training and every game. If God allows, we will play in Europe next year – said Đurišić.

Another great reinforcement of Vojvodina this summer is 27-years-old Nikola Vasiljević, who comes from the current champion of Belarus – BATE Borisov.

– When I got a call from this club, I did not think much. I spoke with the sports director and coach, after which I decided to help them to achieve their goals. I am glad that I am here and I hope that together we will be on the road to successes – emphasized Vasiljević.

Refreshment in the left wing position, Vojvodina got with 24-years-old Miodrag Gemović, who spent the previous two and a half years in Mačva, and previously played for Čukarički, Zemun and Sinđelić.

– Club expectations are high and I am sure that we will play in Europe next season. I would like to thank the president, sports director and coach Nenad Lalatović for inviting to such a big club. Today I will have the first training with the team, which means that from today I begin to prove myself to coach Lalatović and fight for my place in the starting 11. I am very happy to become a member of this team and this club – said Gemović.

That FK Vojvodina is thinking about the future, shows the involvement of the former left-wing player of Teleoptik, 19-years-old Jovan Kokir, who passed through the Youth Academy of Partizan.

– I am honored to come to such a big club as Vojvodina. The expectations are high and I’m sure that Vojvodina will qualify for some European competition next year. I would like to help it to achieve this goal as much as I can – Kokir said.
