The coach of Vojvodina, Dragan Radojičić, is satisfied with the character of his team in the victory over Proleter.

The Old Lady won tonight at its Karađorđe against the city rival with the result 2-1 and thus broke a series of six defeats in the Serbian Super League.

– Congratulations to our city rival on a fair and correct match. I can’t say that I am very satisfied, but I can be very satisfied with the release of my team. I am especially happy with how we entered the game and that we scored goals after free kicks that we play so much in training. From the situations from which Vojvodina has received goals so far, it scored them today. I’m sorry that we didn’t score a goal from the game, especially in the first half, when Proleter was in a difficult situation and when we were able to solve the match. At half time, I tried to maintain concentration with my players, because we knew that Proleter would return, just like in the last round against Čukarički. Proleter gave us a goal after one carom, whether it was an own goal or it just hooked our player, it doesn’t matter, we “dropped the blinds” after that. In two games, we conceded as many as five cheap goals and today we conceded such a goal again, and it is difficult for the team to accept that. The ball is round, we were unlucky and then we got into a close fight until the very end. That part of the fight is my favorite, because the guys showed character, motive and desire, and the most important thing for me is that they were focused in defense. These are three very important points for us, we are closer to the fight for Europe and I think it will be easier for us in the next games, when we have overcome the results crisis. Today we saw that it is not easy to beat anyone in the Super League and that the pressure is huge and that is why I especially congratulate my players. I want Proleter to survive because it does not deserve to be in a endangered position – said Radojičić.

After six consecutive defeats, Voša is today with three points won in only two points away from the placements in Europe, and Radojičić believes that his team’s fighting spirit will be crucial until the end of the season.

– Everyone must understand the psychological moment in which the boys are. I am not worried about the panic at the end of the match, although we missed the game with passes, it is important that we fought in a difficult moment. We have character, and that is very important, because without a fight, quality will not come out. I would not like us to be confused again at the end of the games, but we need a little more time to play and adopt all the ideas. It will be very difficult until the very end. All teams will fight for a place in Europe and that is good for Serbian football. Also, I want to take this opportunity to invite the fans to be with us because it means a lot to us. In the moments when we are two points away from Europe, the support of every fan is important to us and I ask them to be positive and with us until the very end, to reach the goal together – Radojičić concluded.
