In the second round of the Super League of Serbia, Vojvodina will play against Napredak in Kruševac on Sunday. After win in the first round against Mačva, the mood among red and whites is even better than it was, so they hope and believe that they will play a good match in Kruševac and achieve a good result.
However, that it will not be easy, confirm the words of assistant coach of Voša Dragan Šarac.
– We surely expect a very difficult game. Napredak has a new team, which, what we noticed while we analyzed them, played phenomenally the last match against Čukarički. Although they were defeated by 1-0, Napredak was a better opponent during all 90 minutes. Also, Napredak is especially inconvenient as a host, but we will go there with the aim to remain undefeated, and every point that we bring home will mean a lot to us for the further course of the season. As far as the players are concerned, they are all healthy and we have only few small injuries. Kokir still has troubles with his shoulder, so he continues to train separately from the team, while everyone else will be at the disposal to the Manager for this match – said Šarac.
Ahead of this match, 30-years-old Željko Filipović, who this week signed a two-year contract with the club, was presented to the public as the new player of Vojvodina.
– I quickly agreed with Vojvodina, because mine and club ambitions are absolutely matching. We have reached agreement for two years and I hope that we will cooperate fine. The team is great and everyone accepted me nicely, from the first to the last man in the club. Also, I need to say that Novi Sad is a very nice city and I feel very well here – said Filipović, who spent most of his career in Slovenia and Vojvodina will be his first club in Serbia.
The match between Napredak and Vojvodina will be played on Sunday at the Mladost Stadium in Kruševac, starting at 8 PM, with a direct broadcast on the first channel of Arena Sport TV.
