Coach of Vojvodina FC, Miroslav Tanjga and the team captain, Slobodan Medojević are optimistic before the finale of the Serbian Cup.

Players of the Old Lady are facing the team of Red Star on Wednesday from 6 pm at Kraljevica stadium in Zaječar, in the finale of the Serbian Cup, and Tanjga underlined that his team deserves to be in the finale.

  • This is a final match that we play for the second year in a row, and it is normal to be hopeful and eager to give our all to win the trophy. We have experience in winning that trophy, and with every right we wish to win it once again, just like Red Star. I believe that with our performances in the Cup so far, we showed that we deserve to be in the finale. Finale is a finale, and we have to admit that Red Star has the most experience in winning that trophy at such big matches. We know whom we are facing, and that is how we are preparing, to give our maximum. The boys are focused, they know what is coming, because as far as the opponent is concerned, there are no secrets. We hope that the fans will come in large numbers will give us huge support. We are aware that the journey is not easy, but that is when you need to show your love for the club, nothing is far away if you want it. As for the staff, almost everyone is ready, and we will know the result around 8 pm on Wednesday, I hope that we will be the ones celebrating – Tanjga said.

Team captain, Slobodan Medojević also believes that Vojvodina has what it takes to win this trophy on Wednesday.

Miroslav Tanjga also answered the statement that Vojvodina lost all 4 Cup finales against the Red Star so far.
