Both teams entered the match rather cautiously, tactically organized, so this affected the number of chances. Apart from sporadic attempts by Čumić and Antonijević on one side and Kanga on the other, there were no serious attempts in the first quarter of the match.

In the 23rd minute, Red Star performed a nice move, Katai looked for Pešić in the penalty area, but Vitas intervened at the right moment. That intervention was also the last move of the Vojvodina central back, who had to leave the field due to an injury at the end of half an hour of the game, and was replaced by Traore.

In the 35th minute, the guests had the best chance since the start of the game, Pešić made a timely save for Katai who avoided offside and came out on Carević, the goalkeeper of Vojvodina made an excellent save, which was the last chance in the first half.

At the start of the second half, the game completely flared up on both sides. Vojvodina was the closest to a goal in the 48th minute, Busnić crossed from the right flank, Uroš Nikolić avoided offside and headed in, but the post saved Red Star.

Red Star retaliated just a minute later, Kanga shot from distance, but Carević again made an excellent save.

However, goalkeeper of Voša could do nothing in the 52nd minute when Pešić scored for 0-1. Eraković crossed from the right flank, and Pešić ran in front of Traore and headed in for 0-1.

Voša did not give up, she immediately fought back, again through Nikolić, who this time shot with his left foot diagonally from ten meters, straight to Borjan. Two minutes later, Red Star had another chance, Kanga caught a volley from 20 meters and shot over the goal.

At the end of the game, the referee awarded a penalty to Red Star. After a corner kick from the left side, Uroš Nikolić inadvertently played with his hand, and the referee received a signal from the VAR room to check the situation, after which he awarded a penalty kick. The responsibility was taken by Kanga who hit the right corner of Carević for 0-2.

In the 65th minute, Nemanja Nikolić created a chance in front of Red Star goal with his heel, but Čumić and Uroš Nikolić were unable to reach the ball, as Kanga intervened at the last moment.

A slightly calmer period of play followed compared to the start of the second half, which Milan Rastavac tried to change by making changes, since Topić, Kabić and Baraye entered the game in the 76th minute instead of Busnić, Uroš Nikolić and Čumić.

Until the end of the game, the guests had a chance in the 85th minute through Mustafa, whose header was stopped by the Vojvodina defense, and then in the stoppage time, Bukari shot from 15 meters past the post.

In the next round, Vojvodina faces Napredak in Kruševac, and that match is scheduled for Monday at 8 p.m.
