Players of Vojvodina FC were defeated in the finale of the Serbian Cup. They lost to the team of Red Star with the result 0:3.

Teams performed in the following lineups:

Vojvodina: Rosić – Butean (from 85th L. Nikolić), Korać, Sichenje, Barros – Medojević, Petrović, Savićević (from 46th Veličković) – U. Nikolić (from 46th Kokanović), Romanić (from 77th Depu), Bamidele (from 85th Vukanović).

Red Star: Glazer – Seol, Milosavljević, Đurić, Anan (from 58th Rodić) – Krunić, Elšnik – Maksimović (from 69th Katai), Ivanić, Duarte (from 69th Milson) – Ndiaye.

The start of the match was spent exploring strengths, with no particular chances. Red Star had an interruption from the danger zone after ten minutes, but Maksimović only reached the living wall.

Voša attacked more carefully, in the 14th minute they reached the last third of the pitch, Romanić centered, but there was no danger to the net of Red Star.

Red Star attacked mostly through Maksimović, but the players of Vojvodina performed excellent pressing and didn’t allow more dangerous chances before the net of Rosić.

However, at the end of the 21st minute Red Star took the lead, since they performed a quick attack, and used the hole on the left side in the defence of Vojvodina. Duarte was first blocked, but the ball deflected back to his feet, and then from some 10 meters he sent it into the net for 0:1.

Soon after, Red Star was close to scoring their second goal, in the 32nd minute, after an interruption, Milosavljević shot, but Rosić caught the ball which then hit the goal post.

After receiving a goal, Voša fought back and finally made a dangerous shot into the goal frame, Petrović shot, but Glazer was in the right position.

Before halftime, there was an interruption, after the fans of Red Star threw lit torches onto the pitch, but the match was continued after a short while.

In the added time, Voša had the most dangerous chance. Romanić shot from the edge of the penalty area, over the bar.

At halftime, Miroslav Tanjga made two changes in the middle field, since Nikolić and Savićević were replaced by Veličković and Kokanović, and that result in a better performance of the Old Lady.

In the 56th minute Bamidele and Veličković combined, in the continuation of the action the ball reached Kokanović who shot strongly, but next to the goal post.

Kokanović also threatened five minutes later, after Voša made bigger pressure, and this time he shot into the goal frame, but Glazer pushed the ball into a corner. In the 67th minute Glazer saved the net, this time Veličković shot from the right side under the bar, but the goalkeeper of the guest team again pushed it into a corner.

Tanjga decided to additionally refresh the attack, he brought in Depu who replaced Romanić, but the Red Star had a well-organized defence. And ten minutes before the finish, Kokanović was once again dangerous to the goal of the Red Star, he passed on the right side, but was stopped by Krunić in the attack.

In the finish of the match, there was another interruption due to the smoke created by the torches from the north stand, but after a few minutes the match was continued.

Still, in the added time, Milson scored their second goal, he shot from the edge of the penalty area and scored for 0:2.

Until the end, Voša was left with a player less, since Sichenje earned his second yellow card and automatic exclusion from the pitch, so the Old Lady didn’t manage to return to the match and avoid the defeat.

In the last minutes Katai scored from a free shot next to the goal post, for the final 0:3.
