Assistant coach of Vojvodina Goran Šaula and captain Stefan Đorđević are optimistic before visiting Radnik in the eighth round of the Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia.
The Old Lady is visiting Surdulica on Thursday at 6 PM, and with this match Vojvodina will open a cycle in which it will play three difficult games within two weeks.
– In the next two weeks, we have three unpleasant games, so whether we like it or not, we will have to rotate the players. As you know, Veljko Simić received a red card, and then Nemanja Nikolić and Filip Malbašić were injured, so with the previously injured Uroš Nikolić, we won’t be able to count on them. The good news is that Igor Jeličić has recovered, we have another training session and we hope that everyone who is available will stay healthy. We are expecting a difficult away game, on an unpleasant pitch, which is a bit narrower than the others and it is always specific to play there. Vojvodina has no choice but to play a good game and return from Surdulica with three points. We play well, we create chances, we have minor problems with execution, but we will fix that in time. Let’s just continue like this and the results will come – said Goran Šaula.
He answered the question about the happenings outside the field, that is, the dissatisfaction of the fans and the public with the refereeing of the Old Lady’s matches.
– We have now come to Serbian football, Rastavac, Bašić and I, and we are really surprised by the refereeing and we wonder how Vojvodina deserved all this, to be damaged in four out of six games. Just let someone explain it to us – said Šaula.
Vojvodina captain Stefan Đorđević agreed that another difficult game awaits the team.
– We are expecting a difficult game on an unpleasant field, which does not suit us, but we have to adapt even in such conditions. We are weakened due to injuries and Simić’s exclusion, but we believe that those who get a chance will justify the trust. A difficult cycle is ahead of us, we have three games in 15 days and we have to move forward and be optimistic. We are going for the win and we want three points – said Đorđević.
The match Radnik – Vojvodina is scheduled for Thursday at 6 PM with live broadcast on the Arena sport 1 channel.
