After yesterday’s friendly match against Zorya, in which they recorded the second draw in the preparations in Belek, the players of Vojvodina ran on the pitch again this morning. At the Susesi sports center, they did the usual recovery training, which consisted mostly of standard warm-up exercises.

However, as of today, the red and whites are no longer in the same squad in which they arrived in Turkey. Due to the invitation to the Serbian national team, Nemanja Čović, Miljan Vukadinović and Aranđel Stojković left the team late last night. They responded to the invitation of the Manager Ilija Stolica for the matches on the American tour, during which the Eagles will first play against the Dominican Republic in Santo Domingo on January 25, and then on January 31 against the USA in Orlando. For that reason, the three players will not even return to Turkey, but will join their teammates upon their return to Novi Sad.

Apart from Čović, Vukadinović and Stojković, two experienced goalkeepers Željko Brkić and Goran Vukliš also missed today’s training. Brkić had a muscle strain during the previous training, while Vukliš suffered a shoulder injury in yesterday’s game against Zorya. According to Dr. Vladimir Čolaković, they will join the training process at the beginning of next week at the earliest, although it is possible that they will wait until they return to Serbia. Due to the injury of the big toe, Momčilo Mrkaić trained separately from the other teammates today, with the proviso that he will probably train together with the others tomorrow.

After the match against Zorya, the president of the club, Dragoljub Samardžić, left the preparations of Vojvodina in Turkey, and returned to Novi Sad due to obligations.

Today, the players of Vojvodina got a free afternoon from the Manager, Nenad Lalatović, and tomorrow they will have two strong trainings again.
