Football club Vojvodina has signed professional contracts with seven players from its Youth Academy. On that occasion, a special ceremony was held today in FC Vujadin Boškov, at which players representing the future of FK Vojvodina were presented to the public.

Professional contracts with the club were signed by Vladan Novevski (2002, playing as a winger), Vukašin Bogdanović (2002, central forward), Veljko Bogdanović (2002, central back), Nemanja Ivanović (2002, winger), Veljko Jelenković (2003 , central back), Uroš Kabić (2004, midfielder) and Milan Majstorović (2005, central back), who, due to obligations with the national team, was the only one justifiably absent today.

Addressing the audience, the Acting club president Dragoljub Samardžić pointed out that today is one of the happiest days for FK Vojvodina.

– I want our young players to continue on their path and to become standard first team players of Vojvodina as soon as possible. In addition to them, there are a number of players who are patiently waiting to sign contracts with their beloved club. This is also a proof of how the Youth Academy Ilija Pantelić works and what results it achieves together with the rest of us from the club. Our U-18 team is currently fifth, and U-16 team is first on the table. We are making space for them to get a chance at the right time – said Samardžić, adding that Vojvodina has made a turn in terms of relations with young players, and that it no longer allows them to move to other clubs without compensation.

The director of the Youth Academy Ilija Pantelić, Duško Grujić, pointed out that this is a very important moment for FK Vojvodina.

– In the previous period, our Youth Academy was damaged by the departure of some children to Belgrade. However, thanks to these guys, we continued with quality work and produced players who signed professional contracts. In the near future, there will be more players who will sign scholarship contracts and because of that we feel great satisfaction, and I primarily thank the parents who recognized the quality of our club, as well as all employees of the Youth Academy who brought these guys to professional contracts – said Grujić, adding that these young players are characterized by talent, great work and love for FK Vojvodina.
