At today’s regular gathering of members of the Veterans’ Section of FK Vojvodina, which is organized every Thursday in the ceremonial hall of the Karađorđe stadium, the members of the Old Lady’s Board of Directors, Petar Đurđev and Vasa Pušibrk, presented an honorary season ticket for the VIP box for this season to Nenad Krstić, son of former famous player of Vojvodina Dobrosav Krstić.

Dobrosav Krstić (1932 – 2015) played for Vojvodina from 1950 to 1962 and was an indispensable member of the so-called Voša’s “golden generation” from the fifties of the last century, which included the legendary Vujadin Boškov, Todor Veselinović and many other aces… He played 440 games for the Old Lady and scored 89 goals, after which he continued his career in France, playing for Sochaux and Rouen. As a player of Sochaux, in 1964 he was chosen as the best player of the French championship that season.

He was also a member of the Yugoslav national team, for which he played 30 games and scored one goal, and was part of the team that won the silver medal at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, that is, the team that participated in the 1958 World Cup in Sweden.

The statue that Dobrosav Krstić received from the French Football Association on the occasion of the selection for the best player of the season, as well as various medals and plaques that he received during his career, his son Nenad decided to give to the football club Vojvodina, in whose showcases they will be proudly displayed and stored with special care in the future.

Vojvodina football club thanks Nenad Krstić for such a nice gesture and at the same time invites its other former players, i.e. the families of those who unfortunately passed away, to follow his example and with their donation also complete and enrich the showcases that best display and preserve the rich history of the Old Lady from oblivion.
