Today, Vojvodina will play the first friendly match in the preparations in Slovenia. The rival of the red and whites will be Slask Wroclaw, last season the fourth-placed team in the Polish Ekstraklasa, and the match will be played at 6 pm in Odranci, a place 65 kilometers away from Maribor.

WKS Slask was founded in 1947 as Pionier Wrocław and has changed its name four times in its history, and the current one was given in 1957 by the area where the city of Wroclaw is located. This club can boast of six trophies in its showcases, considering that it has won two Polish championship titles (1977 and 2012), two Cups (1976 and 1987) and two Polish Super Cups (1987 and 2012), and in terms of success, it is considered the eighth best Polish club of all time.

In Europe, Slask achieved the greatest success in 1977, reaching the quarterfinals of the former Cup Winners’ Cup, when it was eliminated by Napoli. In the previous ten years, Slask, just like Vojvodina, reached the playoffs of the Europa League three times, but failed to qualify for the group stage. Also, just like the Old Lady, Slask will participate in the qualifications for the Conference League in the upcoming season, but, unlike Vojvodina, the competition will start from the first round, in which its rival will be Paide Linnameeskond from Estonia.

Slask plays at the Wroclaw stadium with a capacity of 45,105 seats. This stadium belongs to the fourth, highest category of UEFA and was built for the needs of the European Championship in 2012, and it is the third largest in Poland in terms of capacity. As the host, Slask plays in green, and as a guest in white, and can boast that, just like Vojvodina, it is one of the first clubs in its country with organized fan support.

The coach of this team is 44-year-old Pole Jacek Magiera, who has a team at his disposal whose value is estimated at around 10.55 million euros. In addition to the Poles, the current team of Slask consists of eight foreigners, two of whom come from Slovakia and Spain and one each from Hungary, Croatia, Uruguay and Zambia.

As for Vojvodina, it is very possible that the Manager, Slavoljub Đorđević, will give the opportunity to the two lineups to play for 45 minutes each. Due to minor injuries, Aleksandar Busnić, Mihajlo Nešković and Miljan Vukadinović will probably miss the match.

The match will be broadcast live on Novosadska TV, and the match can also be watched on the Youtube channel of FK Vojvodina via the link:
