The coach of Vojvodina FC, Miroslav Tanjga is pleased after a draw against the Red Star.
With a goal of Slobodan Medojević in the 84th minute, the Old Lady won a huge point at Rajko Mitić stadium, and after the match Tanjga complimented his team.
- I have to be pleased with a point in Belgrade. I am also pleased with the presentation of my team, they played as we had agreed, without fear and aggressively, and with the desire to win. I think that the result is realistic, and it is a nice overture for the Cup finale. The boys raised their self-confidence and they now realize that they can face anyone, which was our biggest issue when we took over the team. We will give our everything to win the Cup too, just like the Red Star will give their all. I hope for nice football in Zaječar – Tanjga said.
He underlined that he is expecting an entirely different game in the Serbian Cup.
- For us this match was more important than it was for the Red Star, and in the end, we even had the chance to win the game. I think that this, however, is a realistic result. In the Cup we are expecting an entirely different match, one for the trophy, and there is no chance to repair the result in the Cup. Yet, we have the duel with Radnički 1923 before that, which is perhaps one of the most important games of the season, because we are playing against a direct rival, and our goal has been known since the beginning – placement to Europe – Tanjga highlighted.
