The players of Vojvodina responded in the best way to the two defeats they suffered in the first half of last month from their biggest rivals, Red Star and Partizan. After a double victory against Mladost and a triumph on penalties against Javor, the red and whites won the placement among the eight best teams in the Serbian Cup and remained among the four best teams in the Super League. It is certain that everyone in the squad of the Old Lady wants to continue this small winning streak tomorrow, when Voša is expected to be a guest on the roof of the Stadion shopping center in Belgrade, where, on a field with artificial grass the host will be the unpredictable team of Voždovac.

The popular Dragons have been considered one of the most organized and stable football clubs in Serbia for years, although this fact, for some reason, is generally not accompanied by results and placement on the table. This season, after a somewhat weaker start, Voždovac caught the momentum and at one point it seemed that until the end of the championship they would be a serious competitor in the fight for the place that leads to Europe. However, considering that they won only two points in the last five games, and were defeated in the last three matches, the Belgraders are quite far from the top of the table, so they are currently only in 10th place, with seven points less than Vojvodina. However, the performance they showed in the recent match against Red Star, in which they seriously tortured the opponent and as guests were defeated with a minimal result of 1-0, should serve as a warning to Vojvodina players that although they welcome the match with the role of favorites, it will not be easy to gain new points.

The Manager of this team is the former assistant coach of Vojvodina, Aleksandar Linta, who was in the coaching staff of the Old Lady at the time when the head coach was Ilija Stolica. The Dragons team also includes four former Old Lady’s players, namely left back Nemanja Vučić, attacking midfielders Miloš Stojčev and Nemanja Milojević and right wing Aleksandar Stanisavljević. Voždovac can boast of having two senior national team players in its squad, given that the Dragons jersey is worn by right back, 24-year-old Justas Lasickas, who has played as many as 28 games for the Lithuanian national team so far, as well as striker, 24-year-old Nikola Vujnović, a member of the Montenegrin national team and, with eight championship goals this season, currently the best scorer of Voždovac in the Serbian Super League.

At the beginning of the season, Voša achieved a sure victory against Voždovac at Karađorđe with the result 2-0, with goals by Veljko Simić and Mirko Topić, and the Old Lady generally has a good score against this rival, considering that in 22 matches so far it managed to record 11 victories, with four draws and seven defeats and a goal difference of 32-20.

It is to be expected that an interesting and high-quality match will be seen on the roof of shopping centre Stadion tomorrow at 2 pm, which all football fans in Serbia will be able to watch in a live broadcast on the Arena Sport 1 channel.
