Vojvodina is eliminated from the Serbian Cup, as it lost to Partizan 2-1 (2-0) in the semifinals today.

Partizan took the lead with goals by Ricardo Gomes in the fourth minute and Queency Menig in the 42nd minute, while the only goal for Voša was scored by Dejan Zukić in the 52nd minute.

The teams performed in the following lineups:

Partizan: Stevanović – Miljković (from 58th Lutovac), Miletić, Vujačić, Urošević – Zdjelar, Jevtović (from 26th Jojić) – Marković (from 81st Holender), Natho (from 58th Terzić), Menig (from 81st Jović) – Ricardo.

Vojvodina: Rockov – Lazarević, Jeličić, Stevanović (from 73rd Kovačević), Đorđević (from 51st Bjeković) – Maksimović (from 65th Nešković), Topić – Vukadinović (from 46th Kabić), Zukić, Simić – Matić (from 65th Vukčević).

Partizan opened the match better and took the lead in the fourth minute. Marković ran on the right flank and returned the ball to the lonely Ricardo, who easily defeated Rockov from close range Rockov for 1-0.

In the eighth minute, Partizan had a huge chance. After a quick counterattack, Marković went out on his own to Rockov, but the goalkeeper of Vojvodina intervened very well.

Vojvodina threatened for the first time in the ninth minute. Simić tried from 20 meters, but he shot straight at the goalkeeper Stevanović.

After that, several more dangerous opportunities followed in front of the goal of Vojvodina. Menig in the 15th minute and then Ricardo in the 18th minute had real chances, but Rockov recorded two more great interventions.

The punishment almost arrived in the 21st minute, when Zukić passed the ball to Simić in the middle, and he accepted the ball and shot over the goal from the edge of the penalty area. New chances for Partizan followed, again through Markovic, then Natho, who cut Rockov’s bad pass and went out on him, but he shot next to the goalpost.

Chances continued to line up in front of Rockov’s goal, who once again stopped Marković in a one-on-one situation in the 28th minute, and then intervened even better when Zdjelar shot from 18 meters.

In the 36th minute, Partizan had a four-on-one counter, but Natho made another cardinal mistake, as he passed the ball poorly to Ricardo.

The home team had two more chances in the 41st minute. Menig’s shot in the first corner from the left side stopped Rockov, and then Zdjelar shot over the crossbar.

In the 43rd minute, Rockov could not do anything, since Menig hit the upper left corner diagonally from the left side for 2-0.

Voša played much better in the continuation, and in the 53rd minute it managed to reduce the score. Simić had a great run in the middle, he waited for the right moment to pass the ball to Zukić, who hit the first corner diagonally from the left side for 2-1.

That goal completely disrupted the course of the match, because Partizan was no longer so dominant, nor did it create chances, while Vojvodina acted much better and the center of gravity of the game brought closer to the goal of the rival.

Aleksandar Stanojević reacted with changes, just like Dragan Radojičić, who introduced, after Kabić at half time, Bjeković, Vukčević and Nešković, thus announcing an offensive, but the home team defended well.

After a calmer period without chances, in the 87th minute, Aleksa Terzić shot from ten meters, but Bjeković reacted well in front of the goal with his head and prevented a sure goal.

Until the end, there was no change in the results, so Partizan secured the finals in the Serbian Cup, and Vojvodina said goodbye to the placement in Europe with this defeat.
